Fight On – So Many Problems in Life but Be Positive

When we turn on the television or just go to certain places, we see things that break our heart. It’s even most likely that we’re going through at least one of the major problems we hear of. Recession is one; money flow could be “not what it used to be.” Another could be war. A family member could very well be out there fighting for more than just our family. From big problems like that, to ones that revolve around our family, friends or jobs, each one of us has our own unique mix of challenges. No matter what the case you have, it’s true that there are so many problems in life, but be positive you can surely get through.

The Solution in People

Sometimes, it’s really quite a hard task to stay positive, especially when you’ve been having a bad day. Your morale is down, you don’t feel like fighting. Seek comfort in company. Surround yourself with positive people. Don’t let “downers” get to you because it’ll just fuel the whole cycle more. Turn to your friends and family. Take your mind off stress. It won’t solve all of your problems, but it would certainly put your mind in a state that would help you take on the challenges before you.

The Solution in Things

If you can’t find good company, try to find good things to do. Why not get a motivational book? Become engrossed in it and learn from it well. You can also listen to good songs with an upbeat tune and words that either calm your mind or make it less pessimistic or problematic. Are you in desperate need of a laugh? You can turn on the television and instead of turning to dramas, try a good sitcom and make your heart feel light. There are so many problems in life, but be positive life isn’t all problems, have time for some fun and laughs every once in a while.

The Solution in You

You can try a lot of things that could help you cope. First, why not keep busy? Find something interesting, learn something new and be the best you can be with it. Since it would be something you love, not only would it keep your mind occupied, but working at it won’t feel like work in a taxing sense. As you get better, you’ll get a phenomenal feeling and the positive thoughts would just flow and flow. If you can’t invest your time in that, you can take a small bit of time to exercise for some time a few days a week. Feeling underappreciated? Reward yourself. Give yourself the break you need. If possible, make it something tangible that can serve as a reminder that you’re doing good.

There are so many problems in life, but be positive. There’s a lot you can do to boost your spirit and get you going again. Happiness is a choice, make it. Take steps towards it and don’t let life’s problems get you down.

Six ways to Boost Self- Confidence
Self- confidence is having the confidence in one self. You believe in your capabilities in succeeding whether the results turn out to be a positive or a negative outcome. You may realize that self- confidence is important in your life but may find it hard to boost your self- confidence. Laid out in this article are six ways to boost self- confidence. It is simple and easy to remember.
Six ways to boost self- confidence:
Perform small pep talks with yourself
Performing small pep talks with yourself known as self- talk and also known as Mantra to the Hindus, is good training for yourself to boost your self- confidence that comes from your inner self. Chanting repeated positive words can change your perception on a specific challenge. The simple word “yes” is one positive word you can repeat over and over. Before you know it, it will boost you to think that you can conquer this challenge that lead you to perform the very best you can. It does not pay to think positively, actually it helps. Being optimistic on a day to day basis would attract positive energy to boost your self- confidence.
Projecting a good image
You may come to think that not all people dressing with the nicest clothes and having a healthy lifestyle are self- confident. You may be amazed that by actually projecting a good image would make you feel confident. Being able to be hygienic – grooming by shaving and showering would increase the way you look at yourself. The clothes you wear must project that you are person with class and style. Of course your image would not be complete without a good posture and manners.
You should partner all these with creating a healthy lifestyle. Getting yourself to be in shape boosts your self- confidence. So you should get started with an exercise routine and start eating a balanced diet. It would not only boost your self confidence but it would also put you in the right track of preventing diseases.
Setting goals
Set goals for you to accomplish. It may be either a short term goal or a long term goal that you know you can benefit from. But remember that your goals have to be specific, time- bounded and attainable. Being able to accomplish goals that are in the line of things that you love is specific and can make it easier to attain. Time management is another key you need in order to attain your goals. Stop procrastinating. You must accomplish at least goals every day and you should be sure to follow them. Do not create goals that you know you cannot perform. This would only compromise your daily activities.
Compete with your own self
You are a unique in your own way. You have talents that are different from others, so use your talents well. Stop comparing yourself to others and start to concentrate on your positive attributes that can help you build your self- confidence. Comparing yourself would only lead you to confusion and uncertainty on your part. You should tell yourself – “If others can do it so can I.” Instead of asking yourself – “if others can do it, why can’t I?” The difference in the two statements is that if you tell yourself to do it you are challenging yourself to do better but if you ask yourself, you are comparing yourself to others.
Surround yourself with people who affirm you
The people around you can be an instrument to boost your self- confidence or put you down. People who give encouragement and who are supportive are the people who boost your self- confidence. People who put you down and doubt in your abilities is the people you should not hang out with.
Self- evaluation
Spend time to be able to evaluate your progress. Rewarding yourself for your accomplishments would be a good way to boost your self- confidence. You should continue to on or better yet improve more if you like how things turn out. A word of advice, you should accept myriad consequences whether it turns out good or bad. Don’t sulk when it turns out bad but make this a learning experience for you to improve.
Remember the six ways to boost self- confidence needs perseverance, a positive attitude and honesty for you to be able to boost your self- confidence. Start immediately and you will be amazed with the results.

Positive Thoughts: Add to Your Life!

Winston Churchill once said, “For myself, I am an optimist – it does not seem to be much use being anything else.” Think about it and let it sink for a while. Do you get any real benefit from furrowing your brow and etching lines into your forehead? Is that heavy feeling one you yearn to keep you company through all your days? No. No one wants to feel such baggage when they have nothing on their hands. People want to feel light, joyous and truly alive.

Laughter is the best medicine. It’s been said by many on many an occasion. Some may shrug it off and though it may not exactly be the sought after cure for the common cold, it has some bearing. Certain studies show that the optimism and pessimism influence your health and well-being. So let’s look into a few reasons why this attitude

Positive Thinking Pros

Positive thinking doesn’t mean that you have to go overboard and smile at anything and everything that comes your way. Positive thinking is not losing your head in bad situations. This is a state of mind where you are realistic. You know that there are things abound that you wouldn’t readily describe as desirable circumstances and instead of letting it get you down, you take it all head on.

Studies show that optimism or thinking positive thoughts have a good effect on not just our emotions but our physical well-being as well. It has many health benefits. With positive thoughts come longevity, better coping skills and less distress and depression. It also decreases the risk of death from cardiovascular disease, gives you not only better psychological but also physical well-being and wouldn’t you know it, it also gives you better resistance to the common cold!

Reasoning behind It

No one knows for sure why those who have such a mindset reap these benefits. It is thought that with such an outlook, you cope with stress better, minimizing its harmful effects. Also, people who go on thinking positive thoughts seem to live lifestyles that are healthier overall. They eat better, exercise more and are less prone to drink and smoke.

In truth, we don’t need studies to research on positive thoughts and how it affects our well-being. It isn’t very hard to see where optimism takes us. From what Churchill said, it’s true, what else can we do? Instead of asking, “why go for positive thinking” ask, “why not?” We can let the baggage go. It is all about opening up our minds, embracing reality and facing life’s challenges head on, seeing it as a chance to better ourselves instead of life’s punishment. By opening ourselves to life, we can stop merely existing and start truly living.

Positive Thinking Tactics

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “A man is but the product of his thoughts, what he thinks, he becomes.” Taking that idea into consideration, when we think thoughts of failure, don’t we end up demoralized, helpless and, in effect, fail by doing so? And when we aspire for more, believe that we cannot be bound; do we not turn out to be ordinary individuals doing extraordinary things?

Why Bother?

What we feel, believe and know rest in what we think. Though sometimes you feel helpless, you’re very much in control of yourself. It is our choice of which state we’d like to fall into. A lot of times, it’s just about the attitude. In life, intelligence or talent can only get you so far. If you’re pessimistic, sooner or later, the negativity would get the better of you and whatever gift you have would be put to waste. However, with positive thinking or the right attitude, you’ll find yourself tackling whatever life throws at you regardless of your smarts or abilities. In school, it’s about the grades but you won’t get the grades without the right attitude. In the real world, you get the job with what you’ve done with school but what keeps you there is the E.Q. and where do we attribute that? It’s thanks to positive thinking as well.

The Tactic

To get along well with positive thinking you have to take certain steps. First of which is to commit. Give yourself to it. Bring the optimism in everything you do. Don’t split yourself and put fifty percent into family and fifty percent into everything else, because what is fifty percent? It is mediocrity. Go beyond. Excel with optimism by practicing it.

Next, you have to know you’re in control. Structure your life. Don’t believe that life is a result of everything just changing as you wait for it all to affect you. Take life and make it yours. Don’t let chaos reign within you.

Finally, challenge yourself. Winston Churchill once said that “the pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Be realistic. Know you won’t have the best mindset overnight but believe and take steps to embrace positive thinking. Take opportunities to better yourself and instead of criticizing yourself, take the chance to better yourself instead.

How you want your life to be is in your hands. We have no control over everything, but we do have control over ourselves. Nothing can limit us but ourselves. Think positive, commit to thinking positive and challenge yourself to improve yourself. Upon achieving the right mindset, everything else would follow.

“Overcoming Obsessive Compulsive Negative Thinking Disorder”

Do negative thoughts ever just creep up on you, catching you unaware, and suddenly you just can’t help but thinking about it over and over again? When you get into a situation, do ever just think that you’re just going to fail no matter what you do? Do you ever think that there are things that you just can’t do, and that you can never measure up? Are there times where you continually think about all the bad things in life and how nothing ever goes your way? If you said yes to any of that, you may just have obsessive compulsive negative thinking disorder. It is a disorder wherein you just can’t help but think negative thoughts.

Overcoming obsessive compulsive negative thinking disorder is not that hard. Understand that you just can’t stop thinking about it; the best thing to do is to replace these thoughts with something positive. Not thinking about it will only cause you to obsess about it more and more. So you have to replace these thoughts with something healthier, something that will help you to become a happier person. You see, the key to overcoming obsessive compulsive negative thinking disorder is to start thinking about something happier, better and more positive.

So, how do you this? Whenever you catch yourself thinking something negative, answer back with something positive. For example you think that you’re going to fail a test, so what do you do? You start thinking, I may not fail. I may actually do well. In fact, I know I can pass and even ace this test. At first, it may be challenging to change the way you think but over time and with practice, it just becomes easier and easier until it comes to a point that you don’t even have to think about it so much. It now becomes something automatic, something that just comes to you naturally.

Overcoming obsessive compulsive negative thinking disorder can make it possible for you to become someone better. It is a chance to start seeing the world in a new light and believing that there is always a silver lining to every cloud. Once you start thinking positively, better things start coming to you and before you know it, you are now where you want to be. You have already attained your goals and you are now happy. In fact, you may even forget that you ever had obsessive compulsive negative thinking disorder.

Obsessive Thinking Disorder – The Trap and Its Treatment

Obsessive thinking disorder is a form of obsessive compulsive disorder that lacks the compulsive actions. Instead, it focuses on the half of the anxiety disorder that focuses on the enslaving thoughts. Usually, you’d find yourself fretting more than the average person about irrational fears with this disorder and this disorder doesn’t choose just certain people like common diseases. It can fall on anyone regardless of their race or sex. Do you have it? Do you know someone who could possibly have it? What do you do with it?

The Phenomenon

Most of the time obsessive thinking disorder is actually a fear of not knowing, not being in control, or of uncertainty. Not knowing what you’re afraid of or worrying about is actually what separates anxiety from fear. Though worrying about the unknown is quite normal, you can always overdo it and that’s when it gets pretty bad.

With obsessive thinking disorder, the nasty habit can either lay its roots on you as a child, adolescent or in your early adult years. You think too much, your ideas come in an unstoppable gush, running over and over about different persons, situations or feelings. Some consider it as a coping mechanism for emotional stress but it is quite a destructive one as you just feed your anxiety and help it get further along within you. As you feed your anxiety, it will give birth to bad feelings and these bad feelings only feed your anxiety more. It becomes a destructive cycle that must be stopped.

Wouldn’t you get annoyed when you hear a nagging voice at your ear? This is the part where you may or may not fill the whole description of obsessive compulsive disorder because with the nagging voice, you may feel compelled to perform certain routines to help curb the exhausting thoughts. However, such actions can only do as much as curb and not free you from all the obsessive thinking. The delineating factor between normal anxiety and destructive cyclic anxiety isn’t hard to spot. When the thinking gets to a point where it gets in the way of you performing your day to day activities, then you need help. From excessive fear of making mistakes, rejection, and embarrassment to excessive doubt and paranoia, those are little warning signs that something might be up.

Treatment

When diagnosed with obsessive thinking disorder, if it’s severe it may require medication to help cope with the condition. Until the true cause of your detrimental thoughts is identified and confronted, it will help with the treatment. Such a disorder would not be cured overnight but is possible to resolve.

Medication is but an aid to make the treatment easier. It takes a commitment to break the cycle and form a new one that perpetuates a positive effect in its place. Defy the disorder. Know that you can.

There are some who find obsessive thinking to be a way of life while others lost themselves to it. Certain thoughts can stay in your mind and become a dull, repetitive buzz that you can’t block out. Learn about it and do what it takes to tame or control your thoughts.

Any Fancy Equipment?

Wanting to curb the obsessive compulsive negative thoughts is the first step. You are aware that there is something wrong and you want to take steps to take care of it and that’s good. Other than that all you need is discipline with yourself and sufficient will. Without discipline, you can find that you would fail early on as you give into the destruction. Without will, the process of putting an end to these obsessive compulsive negative thoughts won’t even start at all. There is no magic equipment or anything you can order on infomercials or the internet. It really is all you and no one else can do anything to change how you think unless you let them or want to.

Let’s Do It!

As mentioned, being aware and wanting to curb the obsessive thinking is the first step to all this. You are more or less aware that your thoughts are getting overwhelming. When you do feel that your thoughts are getting overwhelming, stop to take a closer look at just how your thoughts flow.

Take note of your thoughts; you’d be astonished if and when you see that it happens quite often. Observe if thinking with a pessimistic air has turned into an obsession and that you have been doing so for quite some time now. Reflect. Are these obsessive negative thoughts true or are they simply baseless?

Next, try turning everything off. With obsessive compulsive negative thoughts, you’d want to take things down a notch; otherwise it would be hard to deal with. Remember, with this disorder comes much doubting or checking things over and over and recheck things repeatedly too. It’s quite overwhelming.

Also, know that you won’t be an overnight success story. Be realistic but try to be positive all the same. Pretty soon thinking positive would be your habit instead of the pessimistic old one. If you know of any negative thought triggers, stay away from them. Keep straight, follow through and you can do it.

Obsessive compulsive negative thoughts can either be an endless stream of negative or positive thoughts. Have patience and strong will. Know when it’s happening and stop it in its tracks. You are in control. Put that control into good use.

Negative Thinking Disorders – It’s Not Beware, It’s Be Aware

Negative thinking disorders are disorders that branch from extreme anxiety and are most commonly termed as anxiety disorders. Under this particular kind of disorder are disorders like obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress, panic disorder and social phobia. It’s the negative thinking in these negative thinking disorders or anxiety disorders that feeds the anxiety causing it to grow. This disorder is rooted in our thoughts. To cure it, we must change our negative thoughts into positive ones with ways like cognitive therapy.

It’s All the Same and Holding On

People who suffer from such negative thinking disorders believe that everything will stay the same and it would always be bad – nothing changes. By taking such a belief into their system of thinking, they’re closing doors or ways to get help. Treatment for such disorders is a slow process exacerbated by holding onto their disorder.

Speaking of holding on, with these types of disorders, people suffering from it hold on to traumatizing or horrible experiences. By doing so, they make it harder for themselves to escape the vicious cycle of negativity and anxiety. These negative thoughts are the main power source of these disorders as they are perpetually being thought of. It’s one thing to hold onto a memory but another situation completely when you obsess over it and fall trapped to a destructive thought cycle. Not only does it interrupt your daily life, it also tampers with your logic and may cause you to steer clear of certain situations and in effect limit you.

Absolutes

Those suffering from negative thinking disorders think in absolutes or extremes. They see that there can only be a completely bad or a completely good situation. This can be particularly difficult to deal with as they usually see the negative part of things more and magnify them, overshadowing whatever positive there is. To adjust to average thought, they must understand that worrying is completely normal to an extent and that there would always be pros and cons or good and bad in situations. They must know that whatever con or bad there is should not control or limit them. They must find what it is that’s causing them the panic attacks and obsessive thinking and avoid feeling helpless or powerless. We should all know that we are in control.

Negative thinking disorders may take different forms and magnitudes but one element stays the same – the negative thinking. Medication may help but at the end of the day, whatever happens, it’s something we have to sort out in our minds. Early intervention is best and being open to treatment would certainly make sure that progress would move along as it should. Life is good, it may not be easy but it is good. Discover it.

How to radiate self- confidence
There are times when a person thinks that he lacks self- confidence to pursue a goal. Most of these persons are children and adolescents. If you are a parent and notice your children to lack self- confidence, you will want to share with them what you know to build their self- confidence. How to radiate self- confidence in a child is different on how to radiate confidence in an adolescent. They must be approached according to their thinking ability and the situations they are in are solved differently since they undergo different dilemmas.
Here are ways on how to radiate self- confidence to your child.
Praise your child for the things he has done. It may be in a form of giving your child positive spoken words or giving him material things as a reward.
Be a role model to your child. Role modelling that you are a strong figure may give him a sense to become strong too.
Make your child perform simple decision making. Like making him choose eating an apple or an orange. This will give your child a sense of independence. When your child thinks that he is independent it will boost his self- confidence.
When your child is stuck in a situation where he tells you “I can’t do it,” encourage him that he can, provide a realistic achievement, help him then make him do it himself. For example your child is drawing then someone asks him to draw something he is not able to draw and say “I can’t do it.” Tell him that he was able to draw the other figures and can draw what is being said. You can lead his hands to draw the said figure or provide a picture he can follow. If you are finished leading him tell him to draw it on his own. Of course praise him.
Here are some ways on how to radiate self- confidence to an adolescent.
Adolescence is the period in one’s life where you need to search for who you are. For that, you will need to help them identify themselves. Tell them the qualities they have that you want them to keep as well as the qualities that you want them to change.
Adolescence is also the period when your child loves it more to be with their friends rather than be with their family. You should allow your adolescent child to spend time with their friends. As a parent, setting limits will be normal but it should be mutual to each other’s convenience. Besides, making your child spend time with their friends will generate his self- confidence.
When your adolescent child comes into a situation that makes him stressful, understand what he really feels and encourage him that he can make it.
Do things that your adolescent child wants doing. By this, you can show them that you are also interested in their interests and at the same time initiate communication. Being able to communicate with them is crucial since adolescents don’t get to talk much about what they feel.
Radiating self- confidence to your child depends on how you carry yourself. A child imitates what you say and do. So be conscious on how you project yourself. Be sure that you are confident yourself. Those are basically some ways on how to radiate self- confidence to your child and your adolescent child.

How to Dispel Negative Thoughts

Negative thoughts are like termites that eat at you from within your core. It always starts out slow but eventually, your foundation gets damaged and everything starts crumbling down. This is why you should learn how to dispel negative thoughts. You need to learn how to stop this train of negative thoughts and adapt a new perspective on things.

The best way how to dispel negative thoughts would be to replace them. Remember that no two objects can occupy the same place at the same time? Well, the same principle applies with your thoughts as well. Simply ignoring the thought will only cause it to come back stronger than ever and more insistent as well. Negative thoughts thrive not only at your attention but also when you just flat out ignore them as well. So, to make sure that these thoughts do not haunt you, you must be able to replace them with something else. That way, your consciousness will be occupied by something and negative thoughts will no longer have space to settle in. No matter how much nudging and pushing these negative thoughts do when a positive thought is already well seated in your mind, it won’t have any effect on you at all. Negative thoughts will then slowly disappear from your mind.

Once you catch yourself thinking something negative, immediately kill that thought and think about something positive. For example you think that you shouldn’t try out for something because you might fail. Thoughts about not being good creep into your head and you start getting desperate and hopeless. You must squash this feelings and thoughts immediately. Think about how much you’ll learn from the experience and how this experience will change your life. The outcome wouldn’t matter so much if you put focus into the experience itself. Believe in yourself and your abilities and this experience will turn out in the best way possible.

When you begin to think positive, you find that you now rarely catch yourself thinking about negative things. This is how you’ll be able to say that you have mastered how to dispel negative thoughtsgets damaged and everything starts crumbling down. This is why you should learn how to dispel negative thoughts. You need to learn how to stop this train of negative thoughts and adapt a new perspective on things.

Learning to see things in a new light is hard but with determination and practice, you will be able to have an insight that will change your life forever. When you know how to dispel negative thoughts, you learn to bring happiness into your life. You begin to open doors to all the possibilities and opportunities that come knocking. You start seeing all the colors of a prism, hearing all the sounds in a symphony and feeling all the wonderful sensations in the world.
