When we turn on the television or just go to certain places, we see things that break our heart. It’s even most likely that we’re going through at least one of the major problems we hear of. Recession is one; money flow could be “not what it used to be.” Another could be war. A family member could very well be out there fighting for more than just our family. From big problems like that, to ones that revolve around our family, friends or jobs, each one of us has our own unique mix of challenges. No matter what the case you have, it’s true that there are so many problems in life, but be positive you can surely get through.

The Solution in People

Sometimes, it’s really quite a hard task to stay positive, especially when you’ve been having a bad day. Your morale is down, you don’t feel like fighting. Seek comfort in company. Surround yourself with positive people. Don’t let “downers” get to you because it’ll just fuel the whole cycle more. Turn to your friends and family. Take your mind off stress. It won’t solve all of your problems, but it would certainly put your mind in a state that would help you take on the challenges before you.

If you can’t find good company, try to find good things to do. Why not get a motivational book? Become engrossed in it and learn from it well. You can also listen to good songs with an upbeat tune and words that either calm your mind or make it less pessimistic or problematic. Are you in desperate need of a laugh? You can turn on the television and instead of turning to dramas, try a good sitcom and make your heart feel light. There are so many problems in life, but be positive life isn’t all problems, have time for some fun and laughs every once in a while.

You can try a lot of things that could help you cope. First, why not keep busy? Find something interesting, learn something new and be the best you can be with it. Since it would be something you love, not only would it keep your mind occupied, but working at it won’t feel like work in a taxing sense. As you get better, you’ll get a phenomenal feeling and the positive thoughts would just flow and flow. If you can’t invest your time in that, you can take a small bit of time to exercise for some time a few days a week. Feeling underappreciated? Reward yourself. Give yourself the break you need. If possible, make it something tangible that can serve as a reminder that you’re doing good.

There are so many problems in life, but be positive. There’s a lot you can do to boost your spirit and get you going again. Happiness is a choice, make it. Take steps towards it and don’t let life’s problems get you down.

Harnessing the power of positive thinking requires you to practice positive thinking as much as you can and apply it in everything that you do.  Start by making a list of all your goals in life. Make the list as visual and concrete as possible by adding photos and whatever else that can help you make those goals to be as realistic as possible.

For example, you can add a picture of where you want to get married, add the fabric you want for your dress, pictures of flowers and even a picture of your dream guy.  Have fun with it and be as creative as possible. You can even add more stuff whenever you feel like it. You should own these thoughts and goals so you can make them your reality.

Create a mantra for these goals and repeat them to yourself everyday in front of your mirror. Make sure that you honestly believe in these words or else, they would be just a bunch of words without meaning. You have to choose which words will motivate you more. Assure yourself daily that you have what it takes to achieve your dreams.

Having a positive mental attitude involves having a healthy body and a healthy mind. Exercise, chill and relax. You should have fun even when you’re having a stressful week at work or whatever. Look and appreciate all the wonderful things that life has to offer. There are so many things out there that often go overlooked but they are just so beautiful and they can bring so much happiness if only they were noticed. Create a scrapbook for your dreams and goals in life. Better yet, put up a bulletin board in your room for your goals, this way, you can always see it. Use a lot of pictures and if you have the talent, draw what you want in life. Use ribbons, fabric, pressed flowers, whatever you can to make it as creative but still realistic as possible. Having a visual and concrete depiction of your dreams in life makes it real to you and at the same time makes you realize that these things are within your grasp. All you have to do is to reach out and take it, own it and believe that you are meant for this. You deserve to get what you really want in your life.

Get out of your routine and start trying out new things, things you’ve either always wanted to do or things that scare you. You can start by waking up an hour early so you could take another route to school or work. Don’t use the highway; instead go for a nice leisurely ride along the countryside. Go for a walk instead of taking a ride, you never know what you could meet along the way. Remember the old saying about stopping and smelling the roses? That’s exactly what you should do.

A couple of positive thinking tips and tricks involve keeping a healthy body. This is another reason why you should exercise. Exercise promotes the release of endorphins, or what they call happy-hormones because they uplift your spirits and give you a sense of happiness.
