Fight On – So Many Problems in Life but Be Positive

Fight On – So Many Problems in Life but Be Positive

When we turn on the television or just go to certain places, we see things that break our heart. It’s even most likely that we’re going through at least one of the major problems we hear of. Recession is one; money flow could be “not what it used to be.” Another could be war. A family member could very well be out there fighting for more than just our family. From big problems like that, to ones that revolve around our family, friends or jobs, each one of us has our own unique mix of challenges. No matter what the case you have, it’s true that there are so many problems in life, but be positive you can surely get through.

The Solution in People

Sometimes, it’s really quite a hard task to stay positive, especially when you’ve been having a bad day. Your morale is down, you don’t feel like fighting. Seek comfort in company. Surround yourself with positive people. Don’t let “downers” get to you because it’ll just fuel the whole cycle more. Turn to your friends and family. Take your mind off stress. It won’t solve all of your problems, but it would certainly put your mind in a state that would help you take on the challenges before you.

The Solution in Things

If you can’t find good company, try to find good things to do. Why not get a motivational book? Become engrossed in it and learn from it well. You can also listen to good songs with an upbeat tune and words that either calm your mind or make it less pessimistic or problematic. Are you in desperate need of a laugh? You can turn on the television and instead of turning to dramas, try a good sitcom and make your heart feel light. There are so many problems in life, but be positive life isn’t all problems, have time for some fun and laughs every once in a while.

The Solution in You

You can try a lot of things that could help you cope. First, why not keep busy? Find something interesting, learn something new and be the best you can be with it. Since it would be something you love, not only would it keep your mind occupied, but working at it won’t feel like work in a taxing sense. As you get better, you’ll get a phenomenal feeling and the positive thoughts would just flow and flow. If you can’t invest your time in that, you can take a small bit of time to exercise for some time a few days a week. Feeling underappreciated? Reward yourself. Give yourself the break you need. If possible, make it something tangible that can serve as a reminder that you’re doing good.

There are so many problems in life, but be positive. There’s a lot you can do to boost your spirit and get you going again. Happiness is a choice, make it. Take steps towards it and don’t let life’s problems get you down.

6 Ways To Create A Positive Mental Attitude

“When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking.” ~ Albert Einstein

Do you want to invite more happiness and opportunities in your life? Do you want to have a positive mental attitude? Well, here are 6 ways to create a positive mental attitude which you can use to improve your life and stay happy.

1. “Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing.” Appreciate all the things and people around you. Learn to stop saying “I’ll be happy when this thing happens to me” or “I’ll be happy when I buy that” because to be honest, you can be happy now. Look around you, you already have so much to be thankful for and be happy for.

2. “These then are my last words to you. Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.” This is a quote from William James. The key to having a positive mental attitude is to start believing in your thoughts, your abilities, your dreams and yourself. It actually makes all the difference when you start believing. You learn that you can get what you want when you desire it with all your heart and mind.

3. William Allen White once said “I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.” Do not be afraid to take risks, try doing something new everyday. You can try out a new restaurant in town or even just taking another route to work or school. Challenge yourself and do not let yourself get into a rut.

4. Always try to get what you love or you will be forced to love what you get. Figure out what you enjoy in life. Who knows, you might be able to make money out of whatever you love doing.

5. Keep yourself healthy. A healthy body can actually keep you happy. You can also see things differently when you are relaxed as compared to when you are stressed out. You see things clearly when you aren’t stressed so try to chill before you make decisions. Exercise also promotes the release of endorphins which makes you feel happy.

6. Get to know yourself. Know what keeps you motivated, what keeps you happy, what your strengths and weaknesses are. Then love yourself for what you are. Even if you want to change things about yourself, the first thing you should do is to accept who you are.

There are more than 6 ways to create a positive mental attitude and it is up to you to experiment and find out what can help you think positively and stay happy.

Positive Thinking Tips and Tricks

“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.”
~Herm Albright

Here are some positive thinking tips and tricks that can help you reach your full potential and attain all the goals you’ve ever set for yourself. Create a scrapbook for your dreams and goals in life. Better yet, put up a bulletin board in your room for your goals, this way, you can always see it. Use a lot of pictures and if you have the talent, draw what you want in life. Use ribbons, fabric, pressed flowers, whatever you can to make it as creative but still realistic as possible. Having a visual and concrete depiction of your dreams in life makes it real to you and at the same time makes you realize that these things are within your grasp. All you have to do is to reach out and take it, own it and believe that you are meant for this. You deserve to get what you really want in your life.

Get out of your routine and start trying out new things, things you’ve either always wanted to do or things that scare you. You can start by waking up an hour early so you could take another route to school or work. Don’t use the highway; instead go for a nice leisurely ride along the countryside. Go for a walk instead of taking a ride, you never know what you could meet along the way. Remember the old saying about stopping and smelling the roses? That’s exactly what you should do.

A couple of positive thinking tips and tricks involve keeping a healthy body. This is another reason why you should exercise. Exercise promotes the release of endorphins, or what they call happy-hormones because they uplift your spirits and give you a sense of happiness. This also helps you relax despite all the stressors in your life.

Fall in love, don’t be afraid of loving. Spread the love that you have inside of you and it will come back to you tenfold. Smile and be nice to anyone since they may also help you out. Enjoy the company of your loved ones and spend quality time together.

Enjoy life. That is the secret to positive thinking. Learn how to enjoy every single moment of your life, no matter how many problems come your way. You can do it. There are so many positive thinking tips and tricks you can try out and the possibilities are just endless because you can have fun with the ideas.

Positive Thinking Quotes

Here are a few positive thinking quotes that I have picked out for you to use to inspire and entertain you. But make no mistake, a few simple words that have a great resonance with your particular personality, or ring true for a certain situation that applies to you or your outlook on life can be an excellent reminder for keeping you on the right track.

If you find yourself in a situation that you find difficult to deal with or rationalise leading to a negative frame of mind or attitude, a positive thinking quote can do wonders in putting things into perspective, and allow you to see the bigger picture in a more positive light.

Here are a few that I like that I have picked at random. Either I consider them particularly good,or they just made me laugh (probably for the same reason!) More will be chosen in the future.

“He who has so little knowledge of human nature as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition will waste his life in fruitless efforts.”  ~Samuel Johnson

“The only people who find what they are looking for in life are the fault finders.”  ~Foster’s Law

In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.”  ~Albert Camus, Lyrical and Critical Essays

Don’t let life’s “bad days” dampen your spirits

Yesterday wasn’t the worst day I’ve ever had-but it was just like it! Actually it depends on your point of view or, your mindset and attitude.

I came back from a gig (I am a musician as well as a blogger) to find a note from the Fire Brigade telling me that the apartment ustairs had had a burst pipe in their kitchen, soaked through the ceiling , flooded my bedroom and consequently I would need to spend the night elsewhere!

Now much as this was a “surprise”, shall we say, it didn’t send me into a flat spin worrying about the consequences of something that was clearly “just one of those things” and no-ones fault as such. Even if I had been there when it occured, I wouldn’t have been able to do much apart from try to move the bed out of the way of the deluge, which would have been difficult considereing the size of my place.

Once it had all sunk in, if you’ll excuse the pun, I started thinking about what I had to do in light of the situation. Of course it isn’t the end of the world when something like this occurs and I wasn’t about to treat it as such. So I moved a few bits and pieces out of the room, threw all the bedding into the wash, emptied the buckets that the firemen had kindley put there to catch the water and set about contacting my landlord and the folks upstairs about insurance etc.

After I had done these tasks I thought about how this change in circumstances was likely to impact my life. I thought about the damage that had been done to the room and its contents and  how I was going to replace damaged items.I also thought about where I was going to sleep and for how long. Certainly these were fairly immediate problems that needed to be worked out. But rather than start thinking too far ahead and possibly getting myself into negative mindset over it all, I tried to see if there were any positive apsects to this unfortunate situation. There were.

Firstly I could sleep in my living room. Not ideal, but I had bought a new couch with a pull-out bed in it for visitors but had as yet not used. I needed to test it out and this was my opportunity. Not onlythat but I figured it might actually make a nice change to wake up to another view! As the carpet would need to be thrown away and replaced, I wondered how to get  this done cheaply as it may not be covered by the insurance. A buddy of mine is a carpet fitter and said he could do a “mates rates” job on the living room but at the time my landlord wasn’t interested in spending the money. Now he will most likely bite my hand off to get both rooms done together so cheaply. Another plus point.

Lastly, I get the room redecorated and the insurance will cover this. The people upstairs said they would even give me the money for a new mattress. So a bit of inconvenience for sure, but with a calm approach and a positive mindset, a potentially negative situation can be  turned into a positive one with a bit of optimistic thought and a view of the bigger picture long term. It can be done.

Now where’s that mop?
